- Avoid blood-thinning agents (NSAIDs) such as Advil, Ibuprofen, Aleve, Aspirin, Motrin, Vitamin E, fish oil, and St. John’s Wort for at least 7 days prior to treatment, unless medically necessary. These can increase your risk of bruising.

- Do not schedule if you have an active cold sore or have had facial surgery in the past 8 weeks.
- Plan for potential swelling—avoid major events for 7–10 days post-treatment.
