CellStory requires little to no downtime compared to traditional microneedling. Most patients experience mild redness immediately after treatment, followed by a slightly rough or dry texture for a few days as the skin naturally exfoliates. Many people return to their normal daily activities right away, although it’s important to follow your provider’s aftercare instructions and protect your skin from sun exposure.
- When will I see results?
You’ll notice a glow within a few days. Collagen production builds over time, with the most visible changes appearing around 4–6 weeks, and continuing for up to six months.
- How many treatments will I need?
Many patients notice brighter, smoother skin after just one treatment. However, for concerns such as acne scarring, pigmentation, or signs of aging, a series of 3–6 treatments spaced approximately 2–4 weeks apart is often recommended for optimal results. Your provider will create a personalized treatment plan based on your skin goals and concerns.
- Does CellStory Liquid Microneedling hurt?
Most patients describe the treatment as very tolerable. Rather than the sensation of traditional needles, you’ll typically feel a mild tingling, prickling, or sandpaper-like sensation as the marine spicules are massaged into the skin. Some sensitivity may continue for 24–48 hours after treatment, but discomfort is generally minimal and does not require numbing cream.
